MEDSTOR PRESENTS TO LEADING GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL GROUP
Allison Seabourne, Medstor's sales director, recently returned from a trip to
Romania, where she joined forces with our Romanian supplier, Kapamed
International, to present to the government-run Administration of Hospital and
Medical Services of Bucharest (ASSMB).
The ASSMB runs the region's hospitals, which aim to offer to the same high
standards of treatment that a patient could expect anywhere else in Europe. After
many years of challenging financial and political instability, healthcare within the
region of Bucharest is being positively supported by the ASSMB, and hospital
numbers and standards are improving hugely in line with this increased attention.
Medstor has already worked in Romania across all of the eight development regions,
delivering materials management and logistics solutions to both the public and
private healthcare environment. The Regina Maria Health Network and the military
hospitals are leading the charge for reform, embracing all the smart solutions and
human resources benefits on offer.
Building Hospitals of the Future
The latest ASSMB event, headlined 'Hospitals of the Future', was held at the
Sheraton Hotel in Bucharest. Representatives and delegates from all nineteen of the
principality's hospitals attended and witnessed presentations on the very latest
trends in hospital building and processes, including the one from Medstor and
Kapamed.
The presentation took the team from ASSMB through a selection of Medstor's recent
projects, illustrating how we deliver specialist healthcare materials management
solutions to some of the world's leading healthcare providers:
- Johns Hopkins Hospital, America theatre and sterile services refit
- McGill University Health Centre, Canada full roll-out of personalised module carts
- Sidra Medical and Research Centre, Qatar provision of a comprehensive range of storage solutions
- he NHS introduction of GS1 and Scan4Safe
- Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen working with Niras to offer the worlds first fully automated CSSD plant.
As a multiple product supplier working directly with hospitals throughout the country, Kapamed brings detailed knowledge and understanding of the region and is an experienced and trusted partner for the longer-term countrywide implementation of the healthcare materials management strategy.
The Start of a New Decade
It's no secret that Romania has struggled in the past to invest in both its trained healthcare professionals and its healthcare infrastructure. Empowered and energised with its new spirit, the ASSMB is actively working to reverse both of these trends as a new decade begins.
This is genuinely a very exciting time in the delivery of healthcare. It has been our pleasure to be involved and to work with the eight development regions across the country to support Romania's national health strategy objectives in the areas of public health and healthcare services.
We have some fabulous projects underway in every region and, as I discussed at the recent conference, our hospitals of the future are being built today. We have a superb opportunity to build into the infrastructure long-lasting solutions that will improve the patient environment, heighten nursing efficiencies, minimise waste and reduce operating costs.
“I very much look forward to being invited to this event again next year and being able to present to the ASSMB delegates the realities of these achievements.“
